Nutrim Dinner Rolls

These soft and fluffy whole wheat dinner rolls made with Nutrim are the perfect addition to any meal. They offer a delicious and nutritious twist on a classic favorite!

Ingredients

  • One cup of whole wheat flour

  • One cup of Nutrim

  • 3/4 cup of unbleached all-purpose flour

  • One cup of water

  • One tablespoon of yeast

  • 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil

  • Two tablespoons of honey

  • One teaspoon of salt

Instructions

Begin by pouring warm water (110 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit) and honey into a large bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water and let it stand for about 5 minutes until dissolved. Once the yeast is activated, add the olive oil and salt to the bowl, whisking everything together.

Next, fold in the whole wheat flour and Nutrim. Begin kneading the dough by hand or with a dough hook, adding white flour as needed until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl. The dough should be soft but not sticky, so adjust by adding more flour if necessary. Knead for about five minutes to ensure it’s smooth and elastic.

Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about one hour. After the dough has risen, punch it down and form it into balls slightly larger than a golf ball. Place the dough balls on a greased baking sheet or stone and let them rise for forty-five minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the dough balls have finished rising, bake them for fifteen minutes or until they are golden-brown. Let them cool, then serve and enjoy!
